April 3rd - Photos from various events of the French community (or french speaking) with the Crystal Peach Award (Air france and Delta received the award this year) and also the brunch organized to conclude the week of the Francophonie in Atlanta with the participation of the Consulate of France, Belgium, Canade, Switzerland and Haiti. Sept 6th - Fascinating event yesterday at the Residence of the Consul General of Canada in Atlanta to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks. Crew and passengers of Delta flight #15 were reunited with the people from Newfoundland who welcomed them when on the 9/11/2001 their plane (and 38 other aircrafts) was forced to land in Gander. This is the first airport you encounter when coming from Europe and on that fateful day it received more than 7,000 people who almost doubled the local population. A few months ago I also took photographs during the celebration of Canada day. May 31th - Very moving event at the High Museum of Art on May 27th - H.E.M Francois Delattre Ambassador of France to the United States presides over a ceremony celebrating the French-American military cooperation. During this ceremony, the Ambassador awards the Legion of Honor to 9 American WWII veterans who helped liberate France in 1944-1945. May 20th - Last update with a few events and nature photos - Event includes the FACC Annual Gala at the Piedmont Driving Club. Nature is bird again with a family of Carolina Wren leaving the nest. December 11th - "Me too, I'm Catherine Deneuve" was the last event of France-Atlanta 2010 (see below). This play was performed by the Trap Door Theater. It was an interesting example of contemporary French theater and a good event to shoot. November 30th - During this week I'm following several event organized by the French Consulate in Atlanta and Georgia Tech as part of an ambitious program called France-Atlanta 2010. To show those photos I inttroduced a new page design which now includes several slideshows in one single page. Check it out on the France-Atlanta 2010 page. October 5th - I had the opportunity to shoot during a preview of Atlanta Ballet upcoming show Moulin Rouge that will open on October 22nd. Check those exclusive photos. The show looks very promising. September 10th - Our second OS app has been approved in the iTunes store. GlobalAtlanta allow you to access international business news about Atlanta and the South East United States. This content is produced by GlobalAtlanta a local news organization. Check it in the App Store it's free and their content is really good (if specialized). We are also working on some more great project of Apps to be released in the next few month. August 20th - 2 new posts in our blog about new photo equipment. My review of an iPhone app to create your studio lighting setups and a comment on the 4 new Nikon lenses released Wednesday. August 18th - A few new galleries are online. One in particular is the result of a photo shoot with Nessa. For her first time in front of the camera she did a good job. I also submitted today a new version of the iOS App for validation by Apple. There is one significant change in this version - Twitter is about to change the way apps can post tweets. The change will be completed by the end of August. The new version allows you to keep posting tweets from inside the app. A few bugs were fixed too and the performance has been improved. Overall there has been a significant work done on the speed of the app over the last few month and I'm happy with the end result. The app loads faster and the updates are smooth, even for a gallery with many images. Our blog is also updated regularly with articles about photography, technology and opinions. I recommend reading this post about a new method I developed to shoot tethered with your camera and your iPad. It's nice to have your photo appear on the iPad screen just a few seconds after it was taken... all that wireless! A few of my fellow photographers from ASMP also sent me nice comments on my article about the future of Nikon. Thanks to all of you for the positive feedback.
August 8th - 4 new galleries are available with some nice photos of birds taken during spring and summer. I'm particularly pleased by the pictures of the ruby throated hummingbird this year and also the encounter with the pileated woodpecker. Those images are also available in the portfolio/nature section as slide shows.
July 23rd - If you visited this web site before you certainly noticed that a lot of things have changed. Our photos are still there but the look and organization of the web site has been improved. Among the most important changes we can mention:
We hope you will enjoy it. Don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything wrong with the new design.
July 22nd - A new version of the iPhone App is also been submitted and is waiting for Apple's validation (hopefully just a few days). This update include some major changes and improvement.
Update your version as soon as it's available. It's a free upgrade. We will let you know as soon as it's available. And if you don't already downloaded your copy, you can get the current App in the iTunes Store. If you have any questions about the App, please visit this page. |
